Not Just A Name on A Wall

This website can be used by history students and amateur historians to research the stories of Australian soldiers serving in World War 1. The real world problem the site addresses is the long lists of anonymous names on Australia’s many WW1 memorials (focussing on the Coonabarabran War Memorial Clock Tower). The real tasks students undertake may address the simplistic view by younger generations of the impact of past Wars on Australians.

WebQuest

A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented activity in which some or all of the information that learners interact with comes from resources on the Internet. WebQuests are based on an engaging task and pre-defined resources from the Web. The WebQuest site provides a multitude of user-rated WebQuest lessons, a discussion forum about teaching with WebQuests, and supporting conceptual and theoretical articles.
